Online vet care in Ontario for dogs and cats
Itchy skin and allergy medication renewal online
Renew your dog or cat’s allergy and itch medication without a clinic visit. A veterinarian licensed by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario reviews your pet’s history, current medication and response before renewing.
- $49 per consultation, reviewed the same day
- No video call
- Prescription sent to the pharmacy you choose
What the veterinarian does
You describe your pet’s itching, the medication your pet takes now and how well it is working, and add photos of the skin if you have them. The veterinarian reviews the case, messages you with any questions, and, when it is appropriate, sends the renewed prescription to the pharmacy you choose.
This consultation is for pets that a veterinarian has already diagnosed and started on treatment. If your pet has never been treated for this, the veterinarian will tell you whether an online assessment is enough or whether an in-person examination is needed first. If it cannot be handled online, the fee is refunded.
What can be prescribed
- Daily anti-itch tablet for allergic itching
- Daily allergy medication: capsules for dogs or an oral liquid for cats
The veterinarian chooses what is appropriate for your pet. Telepets veterinarians do not prescribe controlled substances. Medication is paid to the pharmacy at its price; Telepets adds no markup.
